Interviewer instructions
- When doing this digit span test, both interviewer and interviewee must stay focused and the interviewer must make sure that no one interrupts the test. The interviewer must read the numbers to the respondent slowly from number to number. Example, (1) pause (3) and then ask child says back (3)...(1).
- Pause for one second in between each number in the sequence. For example « 1 » [pause] « 3 ». Let the child repeat: 3…1. If the child does not understand, repeat instructions ONCE.
