<br />Ask, "What municipality were you born in?"</p>
<p><span class="ital">2. How to record the answer:</span>
<br />Mark an "X" in box 1, "here," if the place of birth is the same as the place of permanent residency on the census date. Leave the spaces for municipality and department blank.</p>
<p>A) If the enumerated person was born in another municipality within the country, ask the name of the municipality and the department where the person was born, writing them in the appropriate spaces.</p>
<p>B) If the enumerated person was born in another country, ask the name of the country in which the person was born and write it in the appropriate space.</p>
