<span class="em">C) Cultural characteristics (for persons aged seven years or older)</span></p>
<p>Questions 11-14 refer to the literacy and educational level of the enumerated person; either he or she completed the degree or is currently studying. For this reason, only persons aged seven and older are asked these questions.</p>
<p>The purpose of these questions is to find out the educational level of the population with respect to their demographic, economic, and social characteristics.</p>
<p><span class="em">Question 14: school attendance</span></p>
<p><span class="ital">1. How to ask the question:</span>
<br />Ask, "Are you currently attending a primary or secondary school, or an institution of higher education?"</p>
<p><span class="ital">2. How to record the answer:</span>
<br />If the respondent states that he or she attended a primary or secondary school, or an institution of higher education, mark an "X" in box 1, "yes." Otherwise, mark an "X" in box 2, "no."</p>
<p>If the respondent does not know if the enumerated person is attending a school, mark an "X" in box 9, "unknown."</p>
