<p>In this section, information is obtained for each of the people living in the housing unit.</p>

<p>Before requesting data for each resident, copy the details from Section II. List people and general data, their names, gender, and age, and write them down in the spaces provided. Do not forget to correct the person number when using more than one questionnaire.</p>

<p>For the respondent to know who to provide the information about, start with the sentence: "Now I'm going to ask you about...", and mention the name of the person you previously wrote down.</p>

<p>Apply questions 1 through 11 for all the people who are habitual residents, including children, as well as elderly people.</p>

<p><span class="ital">17. School attendance</span>
<br />This question identifies people who are of 3 years of age or older who are enrolled and attending an educational institution of the National Education System (NES) or its equivalent.
<br />It includes those who attend classes as students or pupils and those who study online or remotely.
<br />Consider that the person Does attend when is enrolled in:</p>
<div class="i1">- Any of the three grades of preschool or kindergarten.<br />- Elementary school, junior high school, high school, technical or commercial career, as well as a junior high distance learning program and a high school distance learning program.<br />- University, technological or normal.<br />- Specialty, master's degree or doctorate (postgraduate).<br />- Open Education or Adult Basic Education (except literacy classes).</div><p>[Figure omitted: image with text]</p>

<p>If the person attends an elementary, junior high school, or high school that is targeted to the indigenous population, with disabilities or outstanding abilities, consider that he/she attends.
<br />Record that the person does not attend school when:</p>
<div class="i1">- He/she only attends classes to learn how to read and write (literacy).<br />- He/she takes courses to learn a trade or handicrafts, such as: dressmaking, cosmetology, electricity, computing, music, etcetera.<br />- He/she is getting prepared to take a single accreditation exam for basic, middle, and higher education.<br />If the person does not attend school, skip to the question</div>
