<br />Peanut oil is derived from a mechanical extraction process using an ''oil press''. The process consists of squeezing peanut seeds allowing two related products to be obtained: on the one hand vegetable oil (recoverable as an oil for consumption (<span class="lang">dewlignou séguèle</span> in Wolof) and on the other hand a co-product (<span class="lang">rakal</span> or <span class="lang">gabar</span> in Wolof) which can be turned into animal feed.
