<p>Economic activity means any activity of production of goods or services intended to be the subject of an economic exchange or a personal use.</p>

<p><span class="em">Column P22: Employment situation</span></p>

<p>This is the situation of the person in relation to their current employment (for the occupied) or previous employment (for the unemployed having already worked).</p>

<p>You should try to find out the status of the persons concerned in relation to the employment practiced.
<br />Record the abbreviation of the modality and the code corresponding to the response respectively on the dotted lines and in the box reserved for this purpose. The modalities of possible responses are:</p>

<p><span class="pg">[p. 39]</span><div class="i1">1 IND = Independent, for any person working on their own behalf only or with help from family and/or apprentices but without employing wage labor.<br />2 EMP = Employer, for any person having their own enterprise where other person (workers, employees) work who they pay in cash or in kind.<br />3 SAP = Permanent employee, for any individual working on behalf of a public sector, para-public, or private employer who pays them in kind or in cash and to whom they are linked by a permanent status.<br />4 SAT = Temporary employee, for an individual employee not benefiting from permanent status and working on behalf of a public sector, para-public, or private employer who pays them in kind or in cash.<br />5 AF = familial help, for any individual working on behalf of a relative (familial enterprise) whether in the field or elsewhere without remuneration.<br />6 APP = Apprentice, for any individual who learns a trade with a master or employer whether they are remunerated or not.<br />7 MC = Member of cooperative, for any individual working in associative or grouping production units.<br />8 Other (specify), for any other situation in the employment not cited.</div>
