<p>(P12) Location of previous residence</p>
<div class="i1">Record on dotted lines the name of the locality, canton, and the prefecture or sub- prefecture or record the names of the country for all those whose previous place of residence was outside of Togo.</div>

<p><span class="em">Columns P11, P12, P13, P14 and P15 concern all the resident members of the household.</span></p>
<p><span class="em">Column P12: Previous place of residence </span></p>
<p>Pose the following question only to resident members of the household as follows: "Where did [the respondent] live before settling in this locality?" </p>
<p>Take care to record on the dotted lines of the first line the name of the locality declared. Then record the name of the canton and that of the prefecture to which the locality is attached, respectively on the dotted lines of the second line and on the dotted lines of the third line.</p>
<p>Ensure that the locality declared is located in Togo before completing the dotted lines reserved for locality, canton, and prefecture. For persons who have resided outside of Togo, you will record the name of the country of previous residence on the dotted lines of the third line.</p>
<p>Example:
<br />The locality of previous residence of Kolani is Kadja, a village in the canton of Landa located in the prefecture of Kozah. Column P12 for Kolani will be completed as follows:</p>

<p>For persons who previously resided in the municipality of Lomé, it is their previous neighbourhood of residence that will be recorded on the dotted lines of the first line. You will then record the arrondissement of the previous neighborhood of residence on the dotted lines of the second line, and Lomé municipality on the third line.</p>
<p>Example:</p>
<p>Ali resided in Lomé in the neighborhood of Dzidzolé. You will complete column P12 as follows:</p>

<p><span class="ital"><br />NB 23: If the respondent cannot remember the locality/neighborhood of previous residence (1st line of dotted lines), the canton/arrondissement of previous residence (2nd line of dotted lines), or the prefecture/Lomé municipality of residence (3rd line of dotted lines), record nothing on the dotted lines reserved for this purpose for each hypothetical case.<br /></span>
