<p>The census will collect information on the year when the building was originally built. Where parts of buildings have been constructed at different times, the year or period of construction should refer to the time in which the major part of construction of the building was undertaken. In the event of major structural changes to the building affecting foundation, walls and ceiling, the year in which the building underwent such major structural changes will be acceptable.
