<p>Toilet facilities are categorized as follows:</p>
<div class="i1">(i) Water closet (W.C.) linked to sewer - This is a toilet facility, which is a flush or water closet that fills from a piped water supply and empties into a central sewerage disposal system.<br /><br /><span class="pg">[p.34]</span><br /><br />(ii) Water closet (W.C.) linked to septic tank / soakaway - This is defined as a toilet facility, which is a flush or water closet and empties into a septic tank or an absorption pit (soakaway).<br /><br />(iii) Pit / latrine - A toilet facility available to household which is a pit/latrine. This toilet facility is not water-borne.<br /><br />(iv) Other - All other types of toilet facilities not described above.</div>
