Interviewer instructions
How deep a latrine is determines how hygienic the facility is. For the purpose of this survey, how deep a latrine is will not refer to the depth before use (i.e. immediately after construction but it will refer to the level of the excreta from the top surface.

Deep will refer to those that measure 10 ft and above from the top. While shallow will refer to those that measure less than 10 ft. An appropriate means of measurement will be determined and provided to the interviewer.
