<svar a="all" v="ID76A421"><span class="em">Migration</span><br />To know about the migration in the past 5 years, ask the place of residence 5 years ago. Of course, this question will only be asked to those who are age 5 or older. Place of residence means that the relevant person has<br /><br /><span class="pg">[p.17]</span><br /><br />ever lived in a place. If a person travels and stays in a place fewer than 6 months, it is not considered that he has resided in that place. If that person in question in a place officially even though for fewer than 6 months, then it would be considered that he had resided there. To stay officially means that he had prepared a change of address letter, for example, and has already registered himself with the local authorities as a resident.<br /><br /><span class="em">Method of filling in the form</span><br />Ask the question about residence as follows:<br /><br />"Did you live in this regency/municipality 5 years ago?"<br /><br />If the enumeration is taking place in February 1976, then 5 years ago would have been February 1971. If the question is still not clear to the respondent, then explain as follows:<br /><br />"Did you live in this regency/municipality in February 1971?"<br /><br />Fill in the code for the respondent's answer in column (5).<br /></svar>
