National languages (literacy)</span><br />The question related to this variable is only relevant for people 12 years and older.<br /><br />Literacy is an individual's aptitude for reading and writing, and the ability to understand a text in relation to facts of everyday life, in any language (national language, foreign language).<br /><br />In the Questionnaire, we've written national languages in the plural; however, for the standard order questions, this question only relates to literacy of the main national language. Also, there is only one answer possible for each eligible individual.<br /><div class="i1">-Ask if the surveyed person knows how to read and write in the any national language.</div><br />If the answer is Yes, ask him the following question:<br /><div class="i1">Q.
