<svar a="all" v="CM05A468 CM05A403"><span class="em">Family relationship in the household: </span>This is a relation by marriage, by blood, or by adoption that unites the member of the household together.<br /><div class="i1">-Ask one of the following questions:</div><br /><div class="i2">Q. "Who is X to you?" if the question is asked to the head of household (HH);<br />Q. "Who are you to the HH?" if the question is asked to the relevant person;<br />Q. "Who is X to the HH?" if the question is asked to a third party who is neither the head of household, nor the person relevant to this question.</div><br /><div class="i1">-Mark in the reserved spaces the family relationship code in the household for each person surveyed.</div><br /><br />The Codes of the terms of the family relationship variable are the following:<br /><br /><div class="i1">10 = HH<br />11 = unmarried children of HH whose other parent does not live in the household<br />20 = spouse of HH<br />21 = unmarried children of spouse of HH where he is not the other biological parent<br />22 = unmarried children of the HH and of his spouse<br />23 = other singletons related to the spouse of the HH<br />30 = Father or mother of CM, living in the household with his partner in the household and/or their progeny<br />31 = Spouse of the father or mother of the HH<br />32 = unmarried children of this couple or to one member of this couple<br />33 = other singletons related to this couple or to one member of this couple<br />40 = child of HH or of spouse of HH, living in the household with his spouse and/or their progeny<br />41 = partner of child of HH<br />42 = unmarried child of this couple or of one member of this couple<br />43 = Son-in-law of the HH or daughter-in-law of HH whose spouse (son or daughter of HH) doesn't live in the household<br />44 = other singletons related to this couple<br />50 = Brother/sister of HH, living alone or with his spouse and/or their progeny in the household<br />51 = spouse of brother/sister of household<br />52 = unmarried child of this couple or of one member of this couple<br />53 = Brother-in-law or sister-in-law of HH whose spouse (brother or sister of HH) is not in the household<br />54 = other related singletons to this couple or one of its members<br />60 = Other relatives of HH, living in the household alone or with his spouse and/or progeny<br />61 = spouse of 'other relative' of HH<br />62 = unmarried children of this couple or of one member of this couple<br />63 = other singletons related to this couple or to one member of this couple<br />70 = Other relative of the spouse of the HH, living in the household with his spouse and/or their progeny in the household<br />71 = spouse of in-laws of HH<br />72 = unmarried children of this couple or of one of its members<br />73 = Other singletons related to this couple or to one of its members<br />80 = Person without family relation to HH, living alone or with his spouse and/or their progeny in the household<br />81 = spouse of person without family relation to HH<br />82 = unmarried child of this couple or of one of its members<br />83 = other singleton related to this couple or to one of its members<br />-on top of pages 2 to 5, in lieu and in place of the names of the household members registered on the page, recopy their order number respecting the columns reserved to each of them</div><br /></svar>
