Question H9 - Tenure - The living quarters<br /><br />This question refers to the arrangements by which a household occupies its living quarters.<br />Ask,<br />'Does this household pay rent for its living quarters?'<br /><br />188. If the answer is 'no', the household either owns the living quarters or occupies them in some other way.<br /><br /><div class="i1">Owning means that the household or a member of it owns the living quarters or is paying for them by installments. No rent is paid, nor does the household occupy its quarters with someone else's permission.<br /><br />If the household pays no rent but does not own its living quarters, it either occupies them with an employer's permission, as in the case of living-in domestic servants, or in some other way which you should describe.</div><br /><br />189.
