Interviewer instructions
Particulars about the Head of the Family - It should be emphasized that the employment characteristics of the family head should be based on a past quarter reference period. The particulars about the head of the family can be seen in Line No. 01 of ISH Form 2. Take note, however, that there are certain information which are not yet coded such as highest grade completed (if college graduate), and kind of business/ industry.

For sub-items which are directly coded in ISH Form 2, merely copy the codes into the code boxes in this section.

However, for highest grade completed and kind of business/industry, copy the information as written in ISH Form 2. Do not provide the codes if they are not available. The codes shall be provided during the manual processing at the district office.

In addition, inquire from the respondent the occupation and class of worker of the family head during the past quarter and enter in items 1(f) and 1(h), respectively, since these are not available in ISH Form 2.

Item 2. Others - The entries for sub-items under this group can be derived from entries in ISH Form 2. Unlike in Item 1 where most of the items require only the transfer of information, Item 2 requires some further classification and distribution.
