Description
Definition
MIGCL2 indicates the person's province of residence in Chile five years prior to the census. The data, 1982 to 2002, are coded into the modern geographic classification of provinces.
See MIGCL3 for a comparable variable that codes all samples from 1970 to 2002 into the pre-1974 geographic classification of provinces. See also MIGCL1 for a similar variable on province of prior residence for 1960, which also uses the pre-174 geography.
