Definition
Pondok Bersalin Desa (Polindes) adalah bangunan yang dibangun dengan sumbangan dana pemerintah dan pastisipasi masyarakat desa untuk tempat pertolongan persalinan dan pemondokan ibu bersalin, sekaligus tempat tinggal bidan di Desa. Disamping pertolongan persalinan juga dilakukan pelayanan Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA), Keluarga Berencana (KB) dan pelayanan kesehatan lain sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat dan kompetensi teknis bidan tersebut.
