In exceptional cases of young children, don't make assumptions about the name, dress or physical appearance in determining the sex of the child. Always ask the parents if you have any doubts about the sex of their child. This pre-coded variable has 2 possible modalities:<br /><br />"Masc--1" for male<br />"Fem--2" for female<br />To record the answer you receive in the questionnaire, simply circle the number of the appropriate code.<br /></svar>
