    The Belarus Population Census 2009 was carried out in the Republic of Belarus from 14 to 24 October 2009, the main census results were presented to users by 1 September 2010, 10 months after the census.

    The scope of the Population Census includes:
    Individual: Date of birth, Gender, Relationship to the head of the household, Marital status, Place of birth, Place of residence, Immigration, Citizenship, Nationality, Mother tongue, Education level, Source of income, Employment, Number of children;
    Household: Description of habitation, List of households and their members, Housing conditions of the household.

    The 2009 population census was carried out with the traditional method – by interviewing each adult respondent and completing census questionnaires while visiting living quarters with actually resident respondents regardless of the registration.
