For instance, if a particular person is a son of the household head then you will write code '1' for sex and code '3' for relationship to the head of the household. Be careful in this question to obtain the relationship to the head of the household. Pay special attention when the respondent is not the head of the household because the respondent in this case may give the relationship of the person in question to him or herself rather than the head of the household. Therefore, reconfirm the relationship to the head of the household before filling out the answer.
