GEO2_ PA1980 identifies the household's districts within Panama in 1980. Districts are the second level administrative units of the country, after provinces. A GIS map (in shapefile format), corresponding to GEO2_ PA1980 can be downloaded from the GIS Boundary files page in the IPUMS International web site.
