<svar a="all" v="CA01A499"><div class="i2"><span class="em">Question 49 -- Weeks worked in 2000</span></div><br /><div class="i3">Include any week in which persons aged 15 and over worked for pay in 2000, even if they only worked for a few hours during the entire week.<br />Exclude weeks on leave without pay.<br />Include weeks on leave with pay. (Include weeks in which training paid for by the employer was received. Include weeks of paid vacation and sick leave with pay.)<br />Report 52 weeks for persons who worked less than a year but who were paid on a 12-month basis, such as school teachers.<br /><span class="em">Self-employed persons</span><br />Report 52 weeks for persons who operated a farm, business or professional practice for the full year, including weeks on vacation or sick leave (paid or unpaid).</div><br /></svar>

This variable indicates the number of weeks in 2000 during which persons worked for pay or in self-employment at all jobs held, even if only for a few hours.
