Is the person looking for a job? </span>is to be completed for persons aged 15 and over who do not have any work or gainful business and are looking for a job.<br /><br /><span class="em">Code 1 "Yes" </span>is to be encircled for persons actively looking for work or trying to organize own business.<br /><br />Specific steps to seek work include: registration at public employment services, application to employers, checking at enterprises and organizations, placing or answering newspaper advertisements, seeking assistance of friends or relatives, arranging for own business. <br />If a person questioned answered <span class="em">"Yes" </span>and <span class="em">Code 1 </span>is encircled for him/her accordingly, he/she is to answer the following question: are you available for work in the nearest two weeks? If the answer is <span class="em">"Yes", </span>the enumerator is to encircle <span class="em">Code 3 </span>and go to question 18.<br /><br />If a person questioned answered <span class="em">"No" </span>and Code 2 is encircled for him/her accordingly, the enumerator is to encircle the code corresponding to one of reasons of not looking for a job out of <span class="em">codes 4 to 8:</span><br /><span class="em">Code 4 </span>to be encircled for persons not seeking work because of its absence.<br /><span class="em">Code 5 </span>to be encircled for persons not seeking work because of illness, disability or bad health status.<br /><span class="em">Code 6 </span>to be encircled for persons not seeking work for family reasons (care for children or sick relatives, household work, housekeeping).<br /><span class="em">Code 7 </span>to be encircled for persons not seeking work because they consider work not necessary for them for different reasons.<br /><span class="em">Code 8 </span>to be encircled for persons not seeking work for reasons other than those listed above.<br />It should be noted that <span class="em">Code 1 "Yes" </span>in question 17 may be encircled also for persons under 15 years of age if they are, for family or other reasons, forced to seek congenial employment.<br /></svar>
