<p><span class="em"> 6.2.3.31 Surviving children (Column P32) </span>
<br />The purpose of this question is to obtain information on the number of children still alive at the time of interview among those who were born alive. The agent asks the following question: </p>

<p>"Among the live births reported previously, how many are still alive?." The agent records the number of surviving children in the corresponding boxes for each sex: "M" for male and "F" for female.</p>

<p>There can be no more survivors than live-born children.
