Number of children ever born<br /><br />This part applies only to women aged 12 years and more.<br />Write an oblique hyphen for women aged less than 12 years.<br /><br />Record the number of children ever born, broken down by sex.<br /><br />[Example table omitted]<br /><br />Note: These are all the children ever born to that woman who is being enumerated (whatever the age of the children, and whoever the father), whether still alive or deceased after the birth. A child is said to be born alive when he or she showed any sign of life at birth (cry, breathing, heart beating, etc.). These children may live with their mother in the household, or may live elsewhere.<br /></svar>
