<span class="h3">3.21 Children Ever Born:</span></p>

<p>The children who live at birth even though the children have lived at a single moment after birth. </p>

<p>For infants who are not breathing at birth is classified as death before delivery and are not counted as children ever born.</p>

<p>Number of children ever born means the children who live at the delivery, and still living, or surviving until the time of census.</p>

<p>Number of children ever born excludes:</p>
<div class="i1">a) Children who are not breathing at birth or dead before delivery.<br />b) Aborted<br />c) Step son/daughter or foster son/daughter of the women.</div><span class="em">Columns 22 - 29 </span></p>

<p>Ask those who are 11 years old and over, or who were born before or in 1968 (Monkey year)</p>

<p><span class="em">Columns 22 - 25 </span></p>

<p>Ask only ever married women</p>

<p><span class="em">Columns 23 -25 Children ever born (as at 0.00 hour of April 1, 1980)</span></p>

<p><span class="em">Column 23 Number of children ever born in this household</span></p>

<p>Ask ever married women "Let me know, [person's name], how many of your children ever born?" </p>

<p>Record the number of children ever born who are living in the household corresponding to the line of the women being asked. </p>

<p>If the woman has not any child ever born at all, record "00" in _ _ corresponding to the line of the woman.</p>

<p><span class="em">Column 24 Number of children ever born who live in other places</span></p>

<p>Ask "How many of your children ever born who live in other places?"</p>

<p>Record number of children ever born who live in other places in _ _ corresponding to the line of the woman in this column.</p>

<p>If the women have no children ever born who live in _ _ other places, record "00" in corresponding to the line of the woman.</p>

<p>Ask "How many of your children ever born who had died?" </p>

<p>In case of married women without children, record "00" in Columns 23, 24, and 25, all three columns.
