- Indirect exports goods (or occasionally services) are sold to a trader or third party who then exports the product without modifications. Products that the manager knows are smuggled abroad should be counted as indirect exports. For hotels, room-nights sold to foreigners via tour operators and/or travel agencies should be considered indirect exports.
