Description
Definition
EDSUMM (HV109) is a summary variable that reports the household member's highest level of education in broad categories. Countries vary in the gradations of their school systems, but EDSUMM is a standardized variable providing the level of education in six categories: No education, Incomplete primary, Complete primary, Incomplete secondary, Complete secondary, and Higher.
EDSUMM is constructed from information contained in EDLEVEL (HV106) and EDLEVYR (HV107).
