Definition
For women who are not now using a contraceptive method and are not pregnant, FPYNOTUS (V375A) reports why the woman is not using family planning to avoid pregnancy.
When children are chosen as the unit of analysis, the woman respondent indicates the mother of the child.
Responses are grouped into broad categories of "not married,' "other low fertility risk," "wants children," "opposition to use," "lack of knowledge," "method-related," and "other," each beginning with a different first digit; subcategories under these broad headings are distinguished by the second digit.
