Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRRW7 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment from a public health worker for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.
Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
FEVTRRW7 is combined with FEVTRRW8 (public community-based distribution agent) in FEVTRPUBFW (all public fieldworkers) for the 2000 Rwanda sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRRW7 are encouraged to review FEVTRPUBFW for a more comprehensive response category.
