SALTRESULT (V166) reports the results of the salt iodine test, with information recorded on the individual person's record.

The following related variables, taken from the household record, report the results of the salt iodine test and are separated according to the type of test:

SALTEST1 (HV234) reports the iodine level in the household's cooking salt, using grouped values of 0 PPM, 7 PPM, 15 PPM or less, 15PPM or more, and 30 PPM.
SALTEST2 reports the iodine level in the household's cooking salt, using grouped values of 0 PPM, 1-25 PPM, 26-50 PPM, 51-75 PPM, and 76-100 PPM.
SALTEST3 (HV234A) indicates whether the household's cooking salt tested positive for iodine.
