Description

Definition
OVCYCLEMN (MV217) suggests the man's knowledge of the female ovulatory cycle by reporting when he believes a woman has the greatest chance of becoming pregnant.

Male respondents were first asked, "From one menstrual period to the next, are there certain days when a woman is more likely to become pregnant when she has sexual relations?" Men who responded "no" or "don't know" are coded as "Don't know" in OVCYCLEMN. Those who said "yes" were asked a follow-up question: "Is this time just before her period begins, during her period, right after her period has ended, or halfway between two periods?"
