Description

Definition
For children whose mothers received antenatal care, ANCRW2 indicates whether they received care at a public "district hospital." This response category is country-specific to Rwanda.

Some samples in the "ANC" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ANCRW2 is combined with ANCRW1 (Public referral hospital) in ANCPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2010 and 2014 Rwanda sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ANCRW2 are encouraged to review ANCPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
