Definition
For young children with a fever or cough in the past 2 weeks, FEVTRTZ11 indicates, in response to an open-ended question, whether the child received treatment at a private clinic for this illness. This response category is country-specific to Tanzania.

Some samples in the "FEVTR" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

FEVTRTZ11 is combined with FEVTRTZ9 (private hospital) and FEVTRTZ10 (private specialized hospital) in FEVTRPRIVHOS (all private hospitals and clinics) for the 2015 Tanzania sample. IPUMS-DHS users interested in using FEVTRTZ11 are encouraged to review FEVTRPRIVHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
