ATZW5 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported a public rural hospital as a place to be tested for the AIDS virus. This response category is country-specific to Zimbabwe.
Some samples in the "AT" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
ATZW5 is combined with ATZW1 (public central hospital), ATZW2 (public provincial hospital), and ATZW4 (public district hospital) in ATPUBHOS (all public hospitals) for the 2010 Zimbabwe sample.
Additionally, Zimbabwe 2005 combines public district and public rural hospital into one response category. This response category is retained in IPUMS-DHS in ATZW3.
IPUMS-DHS users interested in using ATZW5 are encouraged to review ATPUBHOS for a more comprehensive response category.
