Interviewer instructions
This question seeks to find out the household member's retionship to the household head. In most cases, members of the household are related in one way or another. The emphasis rests on how each member of the household is related to the head of the household. A list of upto 14 different relationship to the household head is provided in the questionnaire. Record the appropriate response code in the space provided. Their may be need to probe further to ascertain the exact relationship, e.g., to differentiate between step son / daughter and own son / daughter.
