Abstract |
In this paper my discussion is about the local dynamics of conflict in general and Nepalese political development in particular. The paper aims to give an overview that the conflict led by the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) was nothing other thanan emergence of a “new ideology” as a part of social process. The conflict was overlooked for almost a decade and was conceptualized in such a way which forced the differing ideology (CPN-M) to be discarded from the “whole”, the social and politicalprocess though not possible in reality. But after a decade, the way the conflict has beentransformed, at least to a certain degree, can be a new approach to handle differing ideasin different societies in order to practice a “genuine democracy” and promote peace.
