El objetivo del artículo es determinar el Perfil Básico de Salud de las ingresantes a la UNIFÉ. Se tomó como población a todas las ingresantes a la UNIFÉ en los años 2000-2004: 2 444 alumnas. Se evaluó datos obtenidos de la anamnesis y del examen físico.
Entre los rresultados más relevantes se encontró que el grupo etáreo mayor fue el menor de 20 años: 1 707 alumnas. Las enfermedades más frecuentemente diagnosticadas fueron: Sobrepeso, bajo peso, rinitis alérgica, asma bronquial y obesidad. Los antecedentes familiares más importantes fueron hipertensión arterial y diabetes mellitus, mientras que los antecedentes personales más referidos fueron hepatitis, asma bronquial, rinitis alérgica y fiebre tifoidea.
Del artículo se concluye que las afecciones ponderales, la rinitis alérgica y el asma bronquial fueron las enfermedades más frecuentes. Los antecedentes patológicos pusieron en evidencia enfermedades infectocontagiosas tales como la hepatitis y fiebre tifoidea.

The purpose of this article is to determine the basic health profile of UNIFE’s newcomer students. The population was the total of students that started between years 2000-2004, meaning 2444 newcomers. Health data was obtained from the anamnesis and a physical exam performed.
Among the most significant results it was found that the largest age-group (1,707 girls) was under 20 years. Overweight, underweight, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma and obesity were the most diagnosed conditions. The most important conditions in the family health history was arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus, while in the patient’s history most referred to conditions were hepatitis, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and typhoid fever.
