Abstract | The ongoing crisis is extraordinary in terms of its vast and systemic economic and financial impact in almost every single economy around the globe. A severe credit crunch is leaving households and firms all over the world with fewer resources to finance spending, investment, and trade. The financial problems spilled over to the real economy. The consequence of the global economic recession could be a slowdown and possibly a reversal of progress towards the MDGs goals. This note aims to help to identify countries that may be especially vulnerable to these setbacks. |
