Abstract | This study supports the inclusion of measures of social interaction in all future studies of fertility. It also suggests that programmes promoting family planning can improve their outcomes by actively targeting husband, and by stimulating community discussion through existing formal groups (such as women's organizations) and informal groups (such as neighborhoods) rather than just targeting clients as individuals. |
