Abstract |
This article analyzes the situation of digital divide and digital poverty that can be seen in the State of Oaxaca, South-East Mexico, in the 2011 year. For this purpose, the issues that are addressed are: the current laws, the public policies on telecommunications and connectivity prevailing since the 1990 decade, and statistical information from the 2010 National Census on Population and Housing. The analyses mirror the situation of digital divide and poverty and provide with useful quantitative information for research, teaching and decision making. |
