Abstract | This chapter explores youth phenomenology about the variables important to the psychological well-being of Sri Lankan preadolescents and adolescents. Using focus group interviews and ecomap drawings and narratives, the authors identified culturally and developmentally relevant competencies, sociocultural stressors and supports, and culturally relevant reactions to stressors and supports. Implications and suggestions for intervention and future research are provided. |
