Abstract
In recent years, the development of the economy of sub-Saharan Africa is really notable. At the same time, due to the global financial crisis, exports are presented significantly interesting for our country economy. This paper analyzes one of the fastest growing economies of Africa, Kenya, and the Greek exports opportunities to Kenya. The first part of the paper provides a description of the term and the conditions of international marketing as well as the process of exports. Specifically, it focuses on the analysis of the extraction method, the entry strategies to a new market, and the benefits of exports to country's economy as well as the disadvantages and difficulties in such a process. In the second part the market of sub-Saharan Africa is analyzed, namely the economic, social, political and international environment. Particularly important are the economic relations and agreements with many countries in Europe, Asia and America. Finally the relations between Greece and Africa are described. The third part of this thesis aims to analyze the Greek exports to Kenya. Initially Kenyan market is analyzed in political, social, economic and technological level with a PEST analysis. Afterwards the various bilateral relations, which have been signed between the two countries, are described. Finally, the paper provides a presentation of the investment project “VISION 2030”, which is the national long-term development plan that aims to transform Kenya by 2030 to a new industrialized, middle-income country, providing high quality life to all residents in a clean and safe environment and some general conclusions are outlined.
