Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between cultural capital and body
management among women 18 to 60 years old, residents in Sari. It was conducted using descriptive-analytical
method. Its population included women living in ordinary households in Sari. By using the Morgan Table, the
sample size consisted 300 people. Cluster sampling was used as sampling method. After implementing the research
tools and analyzing data using Pearson Correlation Analysis Tests, the results showed a significant positive
relationship between cultural capital and body management among women 18 to 60 years old in Sari. There is also a
significant positive relationship between social acceptance, lifestyle, reward, social distinctions and group
delimitation with body management. The variables can explain and predict 46% of changes in body management.
There was no significant relationship between societal expectations and body management.
