This report presents survey results on estimates of land use, number of agricultural households, number of holder, number of household members, average household size, and land by size of holding, number of holders by type of holding, age, sex, and educational status of agricultural holders with in the private peasant holdings sector of the economy. The report consists of three parts where Part I includes the objectives of this annual survey, Part I encompass scope, coverage, and content of the survey; sample design; field organization; training of field staff; and method of data collection and Part III has survey results. Estimation procedures and formulations for estimates of totals and variance for total area of land during main (“Meher”) season are presented in Appendix I. Estimates of the standard errors with the corresponding coefficients of variations (CVs) for all land used are presented in Appendix II.
