This report summarizes the findings of the 2013 Philippines National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) carried out by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). It provides information on household population and housing characteristics, characteristics of respondents (e.g., place of residence, age, marital status, education, employment status, religion and ethnic group, health insurance coverage, tobacco use), marriage and exposure to the risk of pregnancy, fertility, fertility preferences, family planning, infant and child mortality, maternal health, child health (birth weight, vaccination coverage, acute respiratory infection, fever, diarrhoea), breastfeeding and micronutrient supplementation, HIV/AIDS-related knowledge, attitudes and behaviour, healthcare utilization and financing, women's empowerment, and violence against women.
