In this research work it will analyze the effects of Labor Policy in Youth unemployment.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) young people
represent 16% of the population total. To develop of this research we apply a mixed
method of research that initially uses a documentary review of the Ecuador-labor policies
focused on young people and is subsequently analyzed statistical data obtained
from the INEC, corresponding to the period from 2007 to 2015. Outcomes of youth unemployment
show that this phenomenon is differential by sex, level of education, ethnic
group, among others. And the trend of youth unemployment with respect to total national
unemployment is higher, it leaves us clearly that the efforts in public policy that
has made the government have not been sufficient to make youth unemployment decrease
in sustainable way.
