This research focuses on determining the importance of the paper industry
during the period 2010 - 2015 and how the stock market has affected the development
of the industry. The background of the problem, theoretical framework, legal
framework, and results, the contrast with other empirical studies and the conclusions
and recommendations of the research are mentioned.
The study has a qualitative methodological approach and the information is
collected through documents and records of entities Securities Market, Stock
Exchanges and Central Bank of Ecuador. The main result of this paper is to present
alternatives of equity financing for the paper industry and promote sustained and
steady growth of the economy through the stock market, being the best alternative for
channeling domestic savings into productive long-term investment.
