Abstract	The precarious nature of informal work has consequences of economic and social nature, both at home and in macroeconomic terms. This paper aims to identify the socioeconomic profile of the population of the city of Villavicencio, understanding people engaged in informal activities as defined by the DANE. Data will be taken from the Great Integrated Household Survey (GEIH); from this basis, a probit model is estimated to find the socioeconomic profile of the population in this sector.
