Decent work is access to a job in decent conditions. This concept has been around
since the creation of the ILO, however efforts to design and quantify their level
indicators are relatively recent. This coupled with the technical difficulties of
measurement made this theme is not so common in labor economics. The primary
objective of this paper is to present the most representative works on the subject
internationally and to Colombia. Similarly a proposal to approach an indicator of decent
work arises.
